What can be included in a backyard SPA zone?

What can be placed in the home SPA zone is largely determined by the size of the garden and our preferences. Most often, such a zone includes a sauna, hot tub or garden jacuzzi, but also comfortable deckchairs, chaise longues, sofas or other furniture on which you can lie down comfortably after the session. A unique mood and atmosphere conducive to relaxation is also created by properly selected lighting. Luminous garlands always look great in such a situation, but there are also other fantastic garden lamps available for sale in the form of spatial figures, which look like a small work of art in themselves. The access to materials and products is really huge. Everything can be customized according to your personal tastes and needs.

Things to think about before buying

In order for the dream of having a private wellness area in the garden to come true, you need to approach the whole project very practically. The place should be rather unexposed to ensure as much privacy as possible. No one will want to relax in a sauna or jacuzzi, which are directly adjacent to the entrance to the house or to the fence to the neighbors’ property. It is best to choose the most secluded corner, surrounded by vegetation, which you will be able to admire from the sauna windows or splashing in a hot tub or jacuzzi. If our garden is not luxuriantly overgrown, it is worth ensuring intimacy and a sense of comfort, e.g. by investing in special screens or screens that match the other elements. It is also important to decide on the size of the sauna that we will use. Do we want a small, personal sauna for two people or a larger one for family and friends? This is an important question that we should answer before buying. At the same time, other aspects should be taken into account, such as good access to a source of water and electricity (needed, m.in, for the installation of lighting, or an electric furnace).

Choosing the right model and wood

The constantly growing interest in home saunas and hot tubs means that the choice of models available on the market is growing and they are becoming more and more diverse. In addition to traditional ones, it is not difficult to find those with a more modern shape, using advanced technologies and interesting materials. Remember that the style and shape should refer to the architecture of the house and garden. When choosing the right model for you, you should pay special attention to choosing a sauna made of good quality wood. A sauna made of wood with poor resistance, crooked rings and knots may be cheaper, but it will not serve us well and for long. When choosing, you should first of all take into account the resistance of the wood to rot, its appearance and smell. If we buy a sauna for our home garden, we do not think about replacing it with a newer model next season.

Heating method

Another important decision is the way our sauna is heated. The heart of every sauna is the stove. There are many models available on the market. In a more modern version and with access to a power source, we can use an electric furnace. It gives you the ability to heat the sauna remotely and control the constant temperature. Many people, however, prefer the atmosphere created by a live fire – its sight, sound and smell – to such comfort. It is something that is invariably associated with the warmth of a sauna. If you are in favor of returning to tradition and nature, let’s bet on a wood-burning stove. Can you imagine anything more atmospheric than the warmth of a fire crackling nearby, warming and relaxing our bodies?

Add-ons matter

When arranging your oasis of relaxation, it is also worth thinking about accessories and accessories that will give this place a truly unique character. In addition to the previously mentioned furniture and lighting, textiles and vegetation will play an important role. Rugs, blankets and bedspreads with interesting patterns as well as beautiful flowers or tall plants with decorative leaves will wonderfully diversify this leisure space. In the home SPA zone, you can relax with pleasure, but also perform your professional duties remotely. When you get bored with your office or living room, it’s a good idea to move your home office to your garden. The level of efficiency will skyrocket!
